Mrs. Mabel Carroll - 

Mrs. Mabel Mae Carroll, 87, of 205 E. Fourth St., 
Grayson, died Wednesday in Carter County following a sudden illness.     

Mrs. Carroll was born Dec. 26, 1898, at Hitchins, a daughter of the late Henry and 
Mary Holbrook Branham. Her husband, Ernest Clifford Carroll, died in 1963.     
She was a member of Bayless Memorial Presbyterian Church.     

Surviving are three daughters, Jewell Collins of Grayson, Betty Roberts of Ashland and 
Dorothy Louise McGuire of Bellvue, Fla.; three sons, Grayson Mayor Daniel 
Clifford Carroll, Ernest Thomas and George Littlejohn Carroll, all of Grayson; 
three sisters, Leona Mullins of Grayson, Gracie Leadingham of Ashland, and 
Osie Knipp of Douglas, Ariz.; two brothers, William Branham and Clifford 
Branham, both of Hitchins; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a 
great-great-grandchild.     

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday 
at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by John Bare and Charles Davis. Burial 
will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.     

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
