Donald E. Carpenter 1936-2007 WARREN — Donald E. Carpenter, 71, of Warren, died Monday afternoon, Oct. 22, 2007, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 16, 1936, in Elliot, Ky., the son of Albert M. and Zada May Callahan Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter was a veteran of the U.S. National Guard and the U.S. Army. He retired as a foreman from Youngstown Steel Door. He is survived by two daughters, Donna Dennison and Susan Rae Gilcher, both of Warren; four sisters, Stella Lee Gibson of Warren, Nellie Marie Hardway of Farmington, W.Va., Bonnie Sue Pyne of Niles and Connie Lou Bower of Warren; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Francis Pigza; three sons, Robert, Terry and Thaddaus Carpenter; and two brothers and one great-grandson. Services will be noon Friday at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna. Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday at the chapel. Burial will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park. Selby-Cole Funeral Home handled the arrangements..
