OBIT - Arch E. Carroll Suffers Fatal Heart Attack - Grayson - Arch E. Carroll, 64, of Grayson, a retired Armco employe, suffered a fatal heart attack Thursday afternoon. He was en route to visit his wife, Mrs. Bess Glass Carroll, who is a patient in an Ironton hospital. Mr. Carroll was born May 18, 1895, at Grayson, a son of the late Richard and Mary E. Summers Carroll. He was a member of the First Church of Christ of Grayson. Survivors in addiion to the wife include three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Bush of Grayson, Mrs. Patty Jones of Ironton and Mrs. Mary Newland of Dayton, Ohio; two sons, Kenneth Carroll of Lost Creek, Ky., and Richard Carroll of Grayson; three sisters, Mrs. ida Hendricks and Mrs. Mattie Porter of Grayson and Mrs. W. W. Collins of Vallejo, Calif.; a brother, Fred Carroll of Grayson; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. (EST) at the First Church of Christ by the Rev. Thomas Thurman. Burial will be in the family cemetery on Everman Creek. The body is at the Satterly-Phillips Funeral Home where friends may call and will be taken to the church one hour preceding the services.
