Kentucky GenWeb projectOBIT - Arvil Samuel Carroll, 76, of Olive Hill, died Saturday at his home. Mr. Carroll was born Aug. 11, 1915, in Carter County, a son of the late Robert and Annie Alexander Carroll. He was a retired farmer and a World War II Army veteran. Surviving are two sisters, Blanche Mae Barker of Grahn and Mable Perry of Mansfield, Ohio. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Globe Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Eury Barker. Burial will be in Carroll family cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. (The Sunday Independent, Ashland, KY, Dec 8, 1991, pg 23) He was a grandosn of Samuel and Melda Parsons Carroll.
