OBIT - Claby Carroll, 48, World War I veteran, died on Wednesday, January 30, at his home in McMillan after a year's illness. He was born at Ashland, Ky., June 1, 1897, and had been a resident of McMillan for 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Cecila, and seven children. They are: Richard, Gerald, Garland, Wallace and Judith; Robert in the U. S. Navy, and Mrs. Elmer Generou of Manistique. He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Edna Bemis of Corpus Christi, Texas,. Mrs. Molly Deboard of Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. Nan Ensien, Fremont, Ind.; two brothers, Robert of Boise, Idaho, and George of Cloquet, Minn. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in McMillan on Saturday, February 2, with the Rev. Ralph Hill officiating. Burial was in the McMillan cemetery.
