Kentucky GenWeb projectOBIT - Curtis Carroll, 102, of Vanceburg, died Thursday in King's Daughters' Medical Center. Mr. Carroll was born April 20, 1891, in Carter County, a son of the late Luke P. and Louise Parker Carroll. His wife, Maude Stevens Carroll, died in 1982. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist. Surviving are four sons, Jeff Carroll of Vanceburg, Roland Carroll of Florida, Marion Francis Carroll of Mansfield, Ohio, and Marvin Carroll of Crestline, Ohio; a daughter, Susie Ackerman of Mansfield; 36 grandchildren; and several great- and great-great grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill by Eury Barker, minister. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Grahn.
