D. B. Carroll Dies Following Long Illness Grayson - Daniel Boone Carroll, 76, of Rt. 1, Grayson, died Sunday at his home after an illness of eight years. Mr. Carroll, a retired farmer, was born Feb. 27, 1884 in Carter County, a son of the late Daniel D. and Amanda Simmions Carroll. He was a member of the United Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Upper Stinson School by the Rev. Sandy Phillips. Burial will be in Easterling Cemetery. The body has been removed from the Satterly-Phillips Funeral Home to the residence where friends may call. Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Maggie Carroll; two daughters, Mrs. Junius Easterling of Grayson and Mrs. Ethel Bond of Jerriel; five sons, Mason, Ran, Philip, Lawrence and Edgar Carroll, all of Grayson; two sisters, Mrs. John Elliott of Denton and Mrs. W. M. Bowling of Princess; four brothers, Walter and Willard Carroll of Grayson, Herbert Carroll of Huntington and Greene Carroll of Toledo, O.; 28 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
