OBIT - Ellis Carroll, Retired Farmer, Taken By Death - Olive Hill - Ellis Carroll, 74, a retired farmer, died yesterday at the home of a gandson, Ray Bear, Route 3, Olive Hill. Born July 27, 1888, he was the son of the late George and Recie Parson Carroll. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Bobby Flannery and the Rev. Stanley Cox. Burial will be in the Carroll cemetery. In addition to his grandson, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jewell Nichols and Mrs. Gladys Bear both of Route 3, Olive Hill; one brother, Aurther Carroll, Grahn, Ky.; five sisters, Mrs. Amanda Mabry, Louisville, Ky., Mrs. Melda Binion, Mrs. Maudie Binion, Mrs. Hattie Ison, all of Grahn, Ky., and Miss Gracie Carroll of Charleston, W. Va., seven other grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. The body has been removed from the Stucky-Back and Cline Funeral Home to the residence of the grandson, Ray Bear, where friends may call.
