OBIT - Grayson Man Succumbs In Huntington - Grayson - Ernest Clifford Carroll, 68, of Grayson, a retired Chesapeake and Ohio employe, died Monday in the Veterans Hospital, Huntington, following a six month illness. Mr. Carroll, a veteran of World War I, was born July 7, 1894, at Morehead, a son of the late Thomas and Ann Waggoner Carroll. He was an elder in the Grayson Presbyterian Church, and a past master of trimble Lodge 145, F. & A.M. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Grayson Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Melvin Hester. Burial will be in Carter County Memory Gardens. The body is at the Malone Funeral Home where friends may call. Graveside Masonic rites will be conducted and members of the Masonic Lodge will be pallbearers. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mae Branham Carroll; three daughters, Mrs. Harry Collins and Mrs. Betty Hammond, both of Grayson, and Mrs. Harold McGuire of Cleveland; four sons, Clifford and Ernest T. Carroll, both of Grayson, George and Clayton Carroll, both of Ashland; wo sisters, Mrs. Minnie Rowe of Ashland and Mrs. Mary Pratt of Bessemer, Ala.
