Kentucky GenWeb projectJohn E. Caudill, 88, of Mansfield, Ohio, formerly of Lawrence and Carter County, died January 9, 1999 at his home. Mr. Caudill was born Jan, 22, 1911, in Lawrence County, a son of the late Will and Laura Barker Caudill. He was also preceded in death by a son, Ulyssus Ray Caudill. He was retired from General Motors as a press operator and a former employee of General Refactories. He was a member of Freewill Baptist Church and a World War II veteran who served with the U.S. Navy. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Mary Mandy Hay Caudill; a daughter Virginia Caudill; four sons, Dewey Lee Caudill Sr., Billy Joe Caudill, Robert Dale Caudill and John Arlon Caudill, A sister Marie McNeely; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, a great grand child and two step-great-grandchildren.
