George Clark Jr. - 1926-2006

George Clark Jr., 80, of Grayson, Ky., went to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 22, at his residence following a brief illness.

He was born Jan. 8, 1926, in Grayson, a son of the late George Sr. and Ruby Johnson Clark.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was a teacher of the Junior Boys Sunday School Class for more than 30 years. 
He was a former owner and operator of Clark?s Plumbing and Heating, a former co-owner of City Florist and a former member of Grayson City Council. 
He was a former sponsor and coach of Grayson area Little League and was proud to serve his country as a Marine in World War II. 
He had the distinction of being the only male in the Prichard High School Class of 1944.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Lee Brammell Clark; a daughter, Judy Mortkowitz of Lexington, Ky.; 
two brothers, Jim Clark and Wayne Clark, both of Grayson; and two sisters, Sarah Maude Buck and Sharrion LeMaster, both of Grayson.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Grayson by Terry Leap and Harry Sanders, ministers. 

Burial will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.

Malone Funeral Home in Grayson is in charge of arrangements.
