Bonnie Darlene Colley Shepherd (1936-2007) Bonnie Darlene Colley Shepherd, 71, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away at 11:45 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2007, in University East Hospital in Columbus. She was the beloved wife of Taylor Shepherd Jr. and the loving mother of Kim LaVerse and Stacy Shepherd. Bonnie was a homemaker and a Pentecostal. She was born April 4, 1936, in Grayson, Ky. In addition to her husband and daughters, she is survived by her four grandchildren, Danielle Kayse, Brandon Shepherd, Ryan LaVerse and Michael Hayse; her great-granddaughter, Layla Darby; her two brothers, John T. and Douglas Colley, both of Grayson; her two sisters, Joyce (Glen) Wood and Carol Brentlinger, also of Grayson; her beloved aunt, Carrie Stamper; a loving cousin, Sylvia Lemaster; two brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dessie Hamilton Colley, and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Taylor and Elizabeth Shepherd. Funeral services for Mrs. Shepherd will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at New Hope Church of God of Prophecy by the Rev. George Burton. She will be laid to rest in Shepherd Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, May 9, at the church. A dinner will be served at the church following the service. Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson is in charge of arrangements.
