Kentucky GenWeb projectWilliam "Hoard" Counts Visitation Friday, June 29th, 6:00pm-9:00pm-Sparks Funeral Home Memorial Service Saturday, June 30th, 1:00pm-Sparks Funeral Home Interment East Carter County Memory Gardens Born December 01, 1924 Died June 27, 2007 William "Hoard" Counts, 82 of Olive Hill, passed away Wednesday, June 27, at his home, following an extended illness. He was born in Carter County, December 1, 1924, a son of the late Morton Counts and Georgia Willis Counts. He was the husband of the late Georgia Wells Counts. He worked for C & O Railroad for 33 years and was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his 3 daughters; Ann Kiser of Olive Hill, Kay Counts of Grayson and Sherry Counts Carroll also of Olive Hill, his 12 Grandchildren and his 4 sisters; Clarice Claxon, Dixie Everman, Dorothy Knipp, all of Grayson and Betty Vincent of Ashland. In addition to his parents and wife Georgia, he was preceded in death by his 2 sons, Meardith and Hoard Jr., his great-grandson Justin Stewart and his 3 brothers; Norman, George and Cecil Counts. Funeral services for Mr. Counts will be conducted on Saturday, June 30th, at 1:00pm, at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. He will be laid to rest in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Friends may call between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm, Friday, June 29th, at the funeral home.
