Flossie L (Cox) Welch
Died June 16, 2005
FREDERIC - Flossie L. (Cox) Welch, 92, of Frederic, died Thursday, June 16, 2005.
Born Nov. 18, 1912, in Olive Hill, Ky., she was the daughter of William and Florence Cox. On Dec. 3, 1932, she married Lloyd Carlton Welch, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Welch was a member of the First Baptist Church of Frederic.
She is survived by her two daughters, Glenna Hessler of Frederic and Denise (Donald) Merithew of Pinconning; three sons, Gerald (Magaret) Welch of Grayling, Bruce (Ruth) Welch of New Bern, N.C., and Aubrey (Linda) Welch of Grayling; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Welch was preceded in death by her son, Roger Welch; husband, Lloyd Carlton Welch; and five brothers.
Visitation is today, June 19, 2005, from 2 to 8 p.m., at the Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Services will take place Monday, June 20, 2005, at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dale Hammond officiating. Burial will take place after the service in the Oakwood Cemetery in Frederic.
Arrangements are being handled by the Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home, 1108 North Down River Road, Grayling, MI.
