Send questions and comments to John GraceBetty Balsinger 1930 - 2005 Betty Reid Damron Worthington Balsinger, age 75, of Venice, FL, formerly of Grayson, KY, died on December 2nd, 2005 at the Venice Regional Medical Center. She was born August 31st, 1930 at Grayson, a daughter of the late Reid and Chloe Damron. She moved to Venice, FL in 1967 and was an office manager for Thorton Nissan of Venice for 22 years until her retirement in 1990. She was appointed the Honorary Title of Kentucky Colonel by the governor of Kentucky, was a member of the New Hope Christian Church of Nokomis, FL, Eastern Star and a Past Worthy Matron of Foster Chapter 340085, Foster, KY. Her survivors include: 3 sons: Shannon, Michael and Donald Worthington all of Venice, FL 4 grandchildren: Sean, Samantha and Jennifer Worthington and Kristina Lang 1 great-grandson: Preston Lang Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 9th, 2005 at 11:00am at the Oak Grove Church of Christ with Dr. Donald Damron, minister. Burial will be in the Damron Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, Dec. 8th, from 6:00-8:00pm at the Malone Funeral Home.
