John Paul Davis - 1946-2007 Mr. John Paul Davis, 61, of 54 Stoneybrook Drive, Olive Hill, Ky., passed away Sunday morning, Aug. 12, 2007, in St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Ky. Mr. Davis was born March 3, 1946, in Carter County, the son of Thelma Barker Davis and the late Charlie Davis. Besides his father, he is preceded in death by a sister, Doris Jean Buckler; his father-in-law, Romie Bond; a brother-in-law, W.F. Burge; and a special pet, Lady. Mr. Davis attended Garvin Ridge Wesleyan Church and was a retired truck driver. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife of 30 years, Vicki L. Bond Davis; his mother-in-law, Lois Wells Bond; a son, John Derek Davis of Olive Hill; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Elaine Davis of Nellysford, Va.; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Carl Stapleton of Grayson, Ky., Janet and Quentis Stamper of Lucas, Ohio, Dottie Burge of Olive Hill and Gayle and John Parsons of Olive Hill; and many other family and friends who will sadly mourn his passing. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at Garvin Ridge Wesleyan Church in Olive Hill by Brother J.C. Bond. Burial will be in Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today, Aug. 14, 2007, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill and an hour before services at the church. Jeff Burge, Mike Burge, Jason Parsons, Ryan Stamper, Billy Wayne Buckler, Doug Stapleton and Donnie Stapleton will serve as pallbearers. Donnie Brown, Danny Lowe, Roger Layne, Rosco Rogers, Junior Hensley, Wilbur Oney, Harold Bauers, Marvin Gearheart, Edwin Kiser, Clyde Wilson and Bill Perry will serve as honorary pallbearers.
