OBIT - Lena Carroll - Funeral services for Lena Dean Carroll, 88, of Route 4, Grayson, who died Thursday, will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Clavis Adkins at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson. Burial will be in Grayson Memorial Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home, where friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Saturday. She was born June 25, 1894, in Floyd County, a daughter of the late George and Sarah Justice Dean. Her husband, Frederick Carroll, preceded her in death in 1971. She died of an extended illness. She was a member of the Smith Branch Enterprise Baptist Church. Surviving are four sons, Elton Dean Carroll, Belen, N.M., George Carroll, Glenn Carroll and Frederick Carroll, all of Grayson; two daughters, Mrs. Opal Oldfield of Cincinnati and Mrs. Jean Baker of Tip City, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Burtha Hufman of Iron Hill; a brother, McKinley Dean of Bellevue, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
