Ashland Daily Independent - 2/11/07 Edna Hamilton Born - 1921 FLATWOODS – Edna Hamilton, age 85, of Flatwoods, passed away Friday, February 9, at her home. Mrs. Hamilton was born August 25, 1921 in Carter County. She was the daughter of the late Tom Dickison and Leota Tackett Dickison. She was also a member of the Little Jewell Regular Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one sister, Lucy Sloan Wilburn; and five brothers, John Dickison of South Shore, James and Frank Dickison both of Flatwoods, Artle Dickison of Olive Hill, and Henry Dickison of Grahn. She was survived by her husband, James E. Hamilton; one daughter, Luci Hamilton; one granddaughter, Caran Rose Day; one sister, Nell Dickison Wilburn; and two dear friends, Mary Jo Heavner and Kathy Shelton. In addition to these survivors Edna will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends. Funeral services were held Monday, February 12, 1 p.m. at the Oney-Henderson Funeral Home. The minister was Terry Bryant. Burial followed in the Roar Cemetery.Submitted by Linda Cheeks Pittano
