Kentucky GenWeb projectRichard E. Douglas, 71 MUNCIE - Richard E. Douglas, 71, of Muncie passed away Tuesday morning, August 29, 2006 at Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born in Soldier, KY on January 15, 1935 to Odus and Mary (Wilson) Douglas. He worked for Meadowgold for 30 years and also Wayne Dairy for 15 years. Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Roberta Douglas; daughter, Bamba Clock of New Castle, IN; son, Shane Douglas, (special friend, Liz) of Yorktown, IN; two step-daughters, Julie Wake, (husband, John) of Muncie, Debra Lewis, (husband, Carl) of Kendallville, IN; one step-son, Roy Kent Hawley of Muncie; two sisters, Justine Keaton of Soldier, KY, Barbara Burchett of Vadailia, OH; one brother, Larry Lawson, (wife, Jo Ann) of Greensboro, IN; grandchildren, Adam & Allison Clock, Tiffany, Dustin, Christina Douglas, Shannon and Bobbi Turner, Jill and Troy Mazur, Ryan and Amy Wake, and Sarah and Dan Brincefield; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, "Chili". He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Derek Douglas, I; step-son, Troy Hawley; and grandson, Derek Douglas, II. Visitation for family and friends are from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2006 at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams St. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Parson Mortuary with burial to follow in Union Cemetery, Eaton, IN.
