Donald Ray Elliott - 1941-2007 Donald Ray Elliott, 66, of Grayson, passed away Tuesday evening in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. He was born Feb. 6, 1941, in Carter County, a son of the late Andy and Mary Holbrook Elliott. He was of the Pentecostal faith and had worked as a machine operator for Hanson Brick Co. at Princess for many years. He is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Bonnie Wilburn Elliott; two daughters; Darlene Gee of Olive Hill and Theresea Elliott, at home, four sons; Terry (Cindy) Elliott, Tony (Angie) Elliott, Jerry Elliott and Brian (Susan) Elliott, all of Grayson; five sisters, Lois Hall, Thelma Kiser and Louise Knipp, all of Grayson, Donna Bowling of South Shore, Ky., and Jeanie Littleton of Olive Hill; a brother, Laten Elliott of Grayson; and seven grandchildren, Alisha, Courtney, Natasha, Emily, Corey, Bethany and Dalton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Elliott. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson by Kenny Floyd, minister. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today, Sept. 27, after noon Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens in Grayson.
