Ruth Porter (1926-2007) Ruth Virginia Erwin Porter, 81, of Globe, died Saturday in Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. She was born Oct. 10, 1926, in Carter County. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill. Burial will be in Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday and before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
