Clinton Evans 1942-2004 Clinton Evans went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at his residence. Mr. Evans was born on Jan. 18, 1942, in Soldier, Ky., a son of the late Morley and Tina Withrow Evans. He was a retired carman with CSX Railroad, and was a member of Grayson Freewill Baptist Church and Brotherhood of Railway Carmen of America. Surviving are his loving wife, Mazie Brewer Evans; one daughter, Kim Wilburn and her husband, Rick, of Grayson, Ky.; two sons, Hurldon Evans and his wife, Eileen, of Cape Coral, Fla., and Kenneth Evans and his wife, Irma, of Nicholasville, Ky.; one sister, Rita Click of Cincinnati; six brothers, Lloyd Evans of Mansfield, Ohio, Elwood Evans of New Castle, Ind., Billy Evans of Clearwater, Fla., Drew Evans of Raceland, Ky., Riley Evans of Ashland, Ky., and Lenford Evans of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren, Nicholas Evans, Joshua Wilburn, Caleb Wilburn, Christopher Toler, Nicole Toler, Sarah Toler, Christina Crowe and Caryn Crowe; two great-grandchildren, Leyah Evans and Hannah Toler; and a special friend, David Gilley of Flatwoods, Ky. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at the Evans Funeral Home in Raceland by the Rev. J.L. Varney. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
