Katherine Caudill - 1935-2006

Katherine Gibson Caudill passed from this life Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, at her residence in Louisa, Ky. She was 71 years of age.

Katherine was born Jan. 6, 1935, in Catlettsburg, a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Virginia Dorton Gibson, 
and the wife of Jesse F. Caudill, who preceded her in death in 1979. She was a member of the Fallsburg Tabernacle 
and a loving wife, mother and a true homemaker.

Mrs. Caudill leaves behind six sons, Tony Caudill and his wife Sandy, Phillip Caudill and his wife Norma, Samuel Mollet, all of Louisa, 
Paul Caudill of Burgin, Ky., Brian Caudill and his wife Connie of Crete, Neb., and Tony Phillipi and his wife Nita of West Bloomfield, Mich.; 
three daughters, Kathy Caudill of Louisa, Phoebe Bush and her husband Ronald of Barboursville, W.Va., 
and Sandra Dee Minor and her husband Tom of Canton, Ohio; one brother, Frank Gibson and his wife Rhydonia of Belles, Texas; 
two sisters, Virginia Knight and her husband Louis of Richwood, W.Va., and Barbara Clark and her husband Richard of South Shore, Ky.; 
19 grandchildren; and 23 precious great-grandchildren.

As well as her parents and husband, Katherine was preceded in death by her son, Jesse “Bud” Caudill; her daughter, Brenda Caudill; 
seven brothers, John Gibson, Fred Gibson, Phillip Gibson, Jimmy Joe Gibson, Bruce Maynard, Charles R. Gibson and Michael Bruce Gibson; 
and three sisters, Colleen Crisp, Linda Sue Brown and Mary Ann Howard.

A graveside service to honor the life of Katherine Caudill will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, at Catlettsburg Cemetery. 
Words of comfort and reassurance will be offered by Brother Jonah Adkins.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made in the memory of Katherine to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.

Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg is in charge of arrangements.
