Kentucky GenWeb projectCLYDE GILBERT Ashland Daily Independent Monday, January 17, 1972 Clyde Gilbert, 80, Olive Hill, died at his residence today following an extended illness. Born Aug. 27, 1891, in Carter County, he was a son of the late James and Martha Soward Gilbert. He was a retired farmer. His wife, Mrs. Jenny Patton Gilbert, preceded him in death. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Pearl Erwin of Rt. 2, Olive Hill; a step-daughter, Mrs. Norma Justice of Cincinnati; a step-son, Joe Ed Jordan of Waverly, O., and five step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Oney Funeral Home in Olive Hill by the Rev. Dennis Sammons. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Source: Obit.
