Linza Griffith (1933-2006)
Linza Griffith, 73, of Olive Hill, went to be with his heavenly father on Dec. 21, 2006, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 20, 1933, in Elliott County, Ky., a son of the late Fred and May Sparks Griffith. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Grayson United Pentecostal Church. He retired from Whayne Supply Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Gallion Griffith, in 1998.
His survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Marty Waddell of Olive Hill; two granddaughters, Michelle Alsawafi and Amanda Kennedy; three great-granddaughters, Aisha Alsawafi, Montana Kennedy and D.J. Kennedy; three brothers, J.C. Griffith of Webbville, Bobby Griffith of Webbville and Jim Griffith of Bruin; one sister, Josephine White of Ashland; and a host of nieces, nephews and family members.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by ministers Brother Ronald Knox and Russell Griffith. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
