Shirley Price Fitch MANSFIELD -- Shirley Price Fitch, 94, died Sunday, July 24, 2005, at Crystal Care, Ashland. Born Aug. 21, 1910, in Carter County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Mary Mauk and Willie Johnson. She was a seamstress at Cowden Sewing Manufacturing. A member of the Church of God in Soldier Ky., she loved her church. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. Surviving are two daughters, Jean D. Thomas and Evalene Thomas, both of Mansfield; son and daughter-in-law, Earl Wayne and Myrtle Price of Ashland, Kentucky; five stepsons, Harold, Paul Edward, Wilbur, Philip and Donny Fitch; two stepdaughters, Barbara Cline and Donna White; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Adkins of Lexington, Ky.; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Charlie Saylers; first husband, Earl Price; second husband, Paul Fitch; son, Omar Paris Price; brothers, Thestal Johnson and Othal Johnson; and sister, Audrey and Clifford Price. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Friends may also call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Globe Funeral Chapel, Olive Hill, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Globe Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gayle Price and the Rev. Floyd Scaggs officiating. Burial will follow in Bowen Chapel Cemetery, Carter County, Kentucky.
