Kentucky GenWeb projectEvelyn Burton 1914 - 2004 Evelyn Burton, age 89, of Hitchins, KY, died Saturday, February 28th, 2004, in Britt Haven Nursing & Rehab in Somerset, KY. Mrs. Burton was born August 20th, 1914, in Grayson, KY, the daughter of the late Earnest and Hattie Johnston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Burton; two brothers, Ray Johnston of Grayson; Earl J. Johnston of Cape Coral, FL and a sister, Freda Johnston of Hitchins. Her survivors include: 2 sisters-in-law: Loraine Johnston of Grayson, Leona Johnston New Symyrnia Beach, FL; 2 nephews: Ronald Johnston and Keith Johnston both of Lexington, KY; 2 nieces: Barbara Hall of Grayson and Pamela Johnston Butcher Somerset, KY (with whom she resided) Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 2nd, at 2:00pm at the Malone Funeral Home. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday after 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
