Kentucky GenWeb projectMANSFIELD NEWS-JOURNAL (Mansfield, Ohio) Saturday, October 28, 1961 Mrs. Anna (Jones) Stanley, 73, widow of Charles Stanley and a resident of Soldier, Ky., died early this morning at peoples Hospital after an extended illness. She was born June 19, 1888 at Soldier, Ky., and was here visiting her daughter, Mrs. Martha Manning, 1152 Walker Lake Rd. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Damon Ferrell of Syracuse, N. Y., Mrs. Thelma Wells and Mrs. Georgia Tackett of Olive Hill, Ky., Mrs. Gerald Manning and Miss Venetta Stanley of 298 West Fifth St.; a son, Herb Stanley of Olive Hill; 28 grandchildren and 34 Great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Harris of Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. Ida White of Mansfield; and a brother, Arthur Jones of Louisville, Ky. The body was removed to the Wappner Funeral Home and later taken to the Leslie Henderson funeral home at Olive Hill, Ky. for services and burial. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery in Carter County, Kentucky.
