THE NEWARK ADVOCATE (Newark, Ohio) Thursday, February 8, 1962 Hezekiah Jones, 76, of 194 Hudson Ave., died at 9 p.m. Wednesday in Newark Hospital where he had been moved after an asthma attack and died a few minutes later. He had been in failing health the last six years. Son of William and Martha Jones, he was born March 29, 1885 in Soldier, Ky. He had lived in Ohio the past 50 years and in Newark, the last four years. A former kiln fireman until his retirement in 1949, he is survived by his wife, the former Minnie Cannon; three sons, Glenn L. and Richard E. of the home, John R. of Zanesville; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Wolford, Cleveland; Mrs. Larry Sterling, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Gerald L. Rine of Newark; and Carol Ann Jones of the home; one brother, Arthur Jones of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. Ida White of Mansfield, and Mrs. Cora Harris of Louisville. Three sons, one daughter, one brother, and three sisters are deceased. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Friends may call at Ross Henderson Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Friday.
