Doc Justice 1936 - 2002 1936-2002 Orville Gene "Doc" Justice, 65, of Grayson, Ky., formerly of Portsmouth, Va., died Saturday in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky., following a sudden illness. He was born Nov. 9, 1936, in Willard, Ky., a son of the late George "Hop" and Nemo McDavid Justice. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany as a M.P. He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Base in Norfolk, Va., and was working in maintenance for Carter Caves State Park. He was an avid fisherman all his life and was a Kentucky colonel. A brother, Lester Dene Justice Sr., preceded him in death. His survivors include his wife of 43 years, Louise Kretzer Justice of Grayson; one daughter and son-in-law, Cyndi Justice Hilton and Darrell W. Hilton of Grayson; one sister, Justine J. Sexton of Grayson; four grandchildren, Tamerra Cunningham and Taloma Hilton, both of Palm Bay, Fla., Tanelica Hilton of Lexington, Ky., and Tashana Tava of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; seven great-grandchildren, Tawnerie, Tara, Tina and Trace Cunningham, Zachary Hilton, and Christian and Trey Tave; four godchildren, Jessica, Justin, Janna and Jacob Hovis; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. The ministers Larry McDavid and Wes Walker will conduct funeral services Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens. East Carter High School ROTC will conduct graveside military rites. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to American Heart Association or the Diabetes Foundation.
