Kentucky GenWeb projectMaxine Stone - 1925-2007 Maxine Stone, age 82, of Rush, Ky., went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 24, 2007 in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. She was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of the late Raymond and Ursel Gollihue Kees. She was a homemaker and a member of the Wilson Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ova Stone in 2006; one brother, Herman Kees; and one sister, June Adkins. Her survivors include two daughters, Madgel “Garnet” Lescault of Woodbridge, Va., and Helen Seagraves of Rush; two sons, David Stone and Jeff Seagraves, both of Rush; seven grandchildren, Eric Stone, Coleena Elam, Kevin Seagraves, Tiffany Stone, Sheena Stone, Marlia Webb and Sara Webb; two sisters, Ruth Stone and Ida Mae Triplett; and one brother, Henry Kees. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with the Rev. Harry Thacker officiating. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be made to the Stone family at malonefuneralhome.com
