Kentucky GenWeb projectLawrence Kennedy The Ashland Daily Independent 8-28-1978 Lawrence Kennedy 67 of RT 1 Grayson died Monday. He was born Feb.21,1911 in Carter County, a son of the late George Filmore and Lee McDavid Kennedy. Surviving are his wife Arie Day Kennedy; four sons Donald Joe of Hitchins, Lawrence L., Gordon Gene, and Thomas Bradley Kennedy all of Columbus; three daughters Betty Kitchen of Ashland, Mary Hinson of Columbus and Phyllis McCalla of Orland Calif; two brothers Buell Kennedy of Hitchins and Estill Kennedy of Jeriel; a sister Jenny Day of Jeriel; 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services were conducted at the Willard Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Ronnie Graves and Rev. Ernest Bush. Burial was in Carter County Memory Gardens. Malone Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
