Jack Darrel Kiser

Jack Darrel Kiser, 64, husband of Debra Rankin Kiser, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007.

Born in Carter County, Ky., he was a son of the late Epp Chester and Myrtle Counts Kiser.

A prominent real estate attorney of 34 years in Lexington, Ky., he was also a licensed broker/realtor, a member of Macedonia Christian Church and continued to share a life long love of farming and raising cattle with his brother.

He received his undergraduate as well as his law degree from the University of Kentucky and was an Army veteran, receiving numerous awards in marksmanship.

In addition to his wife of 31 years, he is survived by his daughters, Jessica Kiser (Robert) Lemons and Kendall Kiser, both of Lexington; grandchildren, Jacob Lemons and Torii Starks; and siblings, Galen Kiser, and W. John (Betty) Kiser, both of Lexington, Jewel (Bob) Logan of Greenup and Epp David (Connie) Kiser of Grayson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Logan.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Macedonia Christian Church conducted by the Rev. Mark Dunn and Pastor Anthony Castle. Committal services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Everman Cemetery in Carter County.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at the church.
