Lewis Kitchen Jr. 1924-2004 Lewis Kitchen Jr., 79, of Hitchins, Ky., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, in Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. Mr. Kitchen was born June 27, 1924, in Music, Ky., a son of the late Lewis and Golda Tussey Kitchen. He was retired from General Refractories Hitchins Division, was the operator of Kitchen's Radio/TV and was an ordained minister in the First Church of God (Anderson, Ind.). He was a member of Princess Chapel, was active with Nursing Home Ministries, along with a Radio Program and was an active Hospital Associate Chaplain for area hospitals. Preceding him in death were his wife of 52 years, Marjorie Ashley Kitchen in 1998; a daughter, Vivian Lee Kitchen in 1943; a sister, Ruth Stewart in 1988; a brother, Leslie Kitchen in 1966; a grandson, Nathaniel Reeves in 1983; and a half brother, Charles Stewart. His survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Milian and Jackie Kitchen of Windsor, Va., and William and Janie Kitchen and Michael and Pam Kitchen, all of Grayson, Ky.; a daughter, Linda Kitchen Reeves of Grayson; a brother, Harrison Kitchen of Columbus, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Eric Thomas Kitchen, Nicholas Kitchen, Alexander Kitchen, Paul David Kitchen, Aaron Kitchen, Gregory Reeves, Bryan Reeves and Tracy Lynn Reeves; and five great-grandchildren, Leslie Kitchen, Tyran Reeves, Tyler Reeves, Shawn Reeves and Seth Reeves. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at 11 a.m. at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Tommy Reynolds and James Harris, ministers. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6 to 9 and Monday after 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
