Kentucky GenWeb projectMr. John William McDowell Visitation Thursday, December 6th, after 11:00 AM, until time of service Memorial Service Thursday, December 6th, 1:00 PM, Sparks Funeral Home Interment McDowell Family Cemetery, Grayson, KY Born May 10, 1929 Died December 03, 2007 John William McDowell, Sr. 1929 - 2007 John William McDowell, Sr., 78, of Grayson, departed this life on Monday, December 3rd, 2007, at his residence. He was born May 10th, 1929, in Fultz, Carter County, KY, son of Harry and Bertha Gullett McDowell. Mr. McDowell was a Korean War Veteran, and a retired farmer. He was a member of Four Mile Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, brothers and sisters, and one son, Allen. He is survived by; two daughters, Ella Duncan, of Olive Hill, and Bessie McDowell of Grayson; two sons, Johnny and Michael McDowell, both of Grayson; four grandchildren, Chris, Misty, Hunter and Michael Ryan; two great-grandchildren, Christian and Briana; one brother, Roy McDowell. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 6th, at 1:00 PM, at Sparks Funeral Home, Larry McDavid, minister.
