The Rev. James Hervie McGlone, 68, Grayson, died Thursday in King's Daughters' Hospital following an extended illness.

The Rev. Mr. McGlone was born June 10, 1911, in Carter County, a son of the late William Green and Margaret Kiser McGlone. He was a retired minister and farmer and a veteran of World War II. He was a former minister of Scotts Branch Church of Christ in Lewis County.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Norma Rowe McGlone; a son, Roger Dayle McGlone of Grayson; two brothers, Raleigh McGlone of Longwood, Fla.; six sisters, Mrs. Hazel McGinnis, Mrs. Eva McGinnis and Mrs. Marie McGlone, all of Carter, Mrs.Lottie Burge of Route 3, Grayson, and Mrs. Prudie Holbrook and Mrs. Virgie Humphreys, both of Flint; and two grandchildren.

The body is at Leslie A. Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill. Arrangements incomplete.
