Nina Meredith Alvey Nina Meredith Alvey of Clarkson died on Thursday, November 20, 2003 in Elizabethtown. She was born on June 27, 1917. She was a retired grocery store owner, retired from G.E. in Louisville, antique dealer, farm operator, and a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Paul Alvey of Clarkson; two daughters, Imogene Belcher and Maxine Edwards, both of Clarkson; one son, Larry Meredith of Clarkson; two step-sons, Paul Alvey Jr. and Carl Thomas Alvey, both of Indiana; four step-daughters, Teresa Ann Anderson, Debra Sue Decker, Lorinda Whitlow and Rose Mary Alvey, all of Indiana. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; 14 step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James (Jimich) and Martha Ann Logsdon Haycraft. Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 23, 2003 at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Abb Stanton officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Rogers-Oller Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
