Jean Overland Roberts Jean Overland Roberts, 70, of St. Albans passed away July 19, 2005. She was born on Sept. 15, 1934, in Olive Hill, Ky., the daughter of the late James and Ruby Miller. She was retired from Columbia Gas. She was a former volunteer at Thomas Memorial Hospital and the Make-a-Wish Foundation and was a member of Women of the Moose. Jean attended Winfield Church of God Mission and formerly attended Highlawn Church of God, St. Albans. She was a very caring and loving person. Jean was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Overland; her second husband, Kenny Roberts; and a brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Barbara Miller. She is survived by daughters and a son-in-law, Jeanie Hamilton and Janette, Janie, and Richard Hughes, all of St. Albans; stepdaughter and her husband, Becky and Tom Legg of Red House; stepson and his wife, Rex and Diane Persinger of Hometown; sister and her husband, Mitzi and Lonnie Roberts of St. Albans; grandchildren, Jessica Hamilton, Amber Hughes, Rocky Persinger, Geana Persinger, Johnathan Legg and Nicole Moomaw; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, 110 B St., St. Albans, with the Rev. Arley Craven and Pastor Adam Null officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Family and friends may gather from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
