William D. Mosier, 69, of Lorain died Thursday at Elyria Memorial Hospital and Health Center after a long illness. 

Born in Gran (probably Grahn), he moved to Mansfield in 1951 and to Lorain in 1960. He worked at the Ford Motor Co. Ohio Truck Plant in Avon Lake. 

Mr. Mosier was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army during the occupation of Germany, where he was in security at displaced-persons 
and prison camps. He was a member of West Ridge Baptist Church in Amherst and United Auto Workers Local 2000. 

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Thelma (nee Keaton); sons James Ray of Elyria and Donald L. of Vermilion; brothers Perry of Lorain, 
Ray of Olive Hill, Ky., and Morris of Mansfield, Ohio; sisters Ruby Bailey of Olive Hill, Ky., and Meady Mosier and Edith Holmes, both of Mansfield; 
stepbrothers Kale Jr. of Gallion, John Robert of Georgetown, Ky., George Daniel of Mansfield and Wesley of Huntsville, Ala.; 
stepsisters Martha Owens and Mary Lampert, both of Mansfield, Ethel Mosier of Frederickstown, Ohio and Goldie Owens of Lexington, Ohio; 
and four grandchildren. 

Friends may call at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 E. 31st St., Lorain, today 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. 
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at West Ridge Baptist Church, Amherst. The Rev. Charles D. Tackett, assistant pastor, will officiate. 
Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township.
