Dammie Mae Duncan, 84, of Mt. Prospect, Ill., a former Fourth Street resident died Saturday at a Highland Park (Ill.) hospital.

A native of Carter County, Ky., she was a retired alteration seamstress for several businesses and a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Winfield Duncan, on Jan. 18, 1965, she is survived by three sons, Johnny Farmer and James Stafford, 
both of Portsmouth; and Herman Stafford of Okeechobee, Fla.; two daughters, Loraine Buettner of Okeechobee and Dorothy Duncan of Chicago, Ill.; 
two brothers, Lovell Owens of Olive Hill Rt. 2 and Harley Owens of new Philadelphia; a sister, Dellia Sherman of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren; 
and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted Friday at Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home, with Rev. John Gowdy officiating, and interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
