GERTIE BURTON The Daily Independent, Ashland, Kentucky Wednesday, December 24, 1986 Mrs. Gertie Burton, 85, of Route 2, Olive Hill, died Tuesday in Elmwood Village Nursing Home in Ashland. Mrs. Burton was born July 6, 1901, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Jack and Carrie Watson Patton. Her husband, Arthur Burton, died in 1972. She attended Bethel Christian Holiness Church. Surviving are two sons, Garrett Burton of Olive Hill and Virgil Burton of Florida; two daughters, Pauline Ingold of Mansfield, Ohio, and Loraine Meaker of Butler, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Her funeral was conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Leslie A. Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill by Eddie Porter. Mrs. Burton was laid to rest in Bethel Cemetery
