Clay O. Pelfrey Sr. age 81, of Germantown, OH, passed away Monday October 9, 2006 at Kettering Medical Center. Clay was born in Olive Hill, KY, on March 10, 1925, to the late Allie H. and Ida (nee James) Pelfrey. He was a W.W. II Marine Veteran. Clay retired from Inland Division of General Motors in 1980 after 32 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Germantown, American Legion and V. F. W. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Eugene, Ralph and Jack Pelfrey; 3 sisters, Geneva, Ruth and Reba; and a granddaughter, Emily. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma Lee (nee Maple) Pelfrey; his son and daughter-in-law, Clay O. and Catherine Pelfrey, Jr., of Washington Township, OH; his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Pelfrey-Harville of Monroe, OH; 2 granddaughters, Mardi (Curtis) Humphreys of Atlanta and Drew Pelfrey of Athens, OH; his great granddaughter Casey Smith-Humphreys; and his sister, Lucille Virgin of Dayton, OH. Friends may call October 12, 2006 6-9 p.m. at the Dalton Funeral Home, Corner of State Route 4 & Weaver Rd., Germantown, OH.
