Kentucky GenWeb projectJames Harlan Pennington The Ashland Daily Independent 8-31-1980 James Harlan Pennington 72,Willard died at his residence Sunday evening following an extended illness. Mr Pennington was born Oct 7,1907 in Carter County,a son of the late Farris and Sally Hall Pennington. He was a retired state highway employee. Surviving are a son William Farris ( Buddy) Pennington; two daughters Elma Gay Maggard and Caroline Sue Seagraves; two brothers Hargis Pennington of Willard and Ray Pennington of Grove City Ohio; eight sisters Myrtle Fauson, and Goldie Ratcliff of Jerial Ky. Gladys Gollihue of Hitchins, Vena Bush of Spring Hill , Fla , Lillian Seagraves of Columbus Ohio, Dorothy Stewart of Orlando Fla, Lucille Ent and Irene Swick both of dayton Ohio; seven grandchildren and one great-grand child. Services were conducted at Willard Wesleyan Church by Rev Ernest Bush. Burial was in East Carter Memory Gardens. Malones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
