Evelyn Everman - 1922-2007 Evelyn Everman, 84, of Grayson, Ky., passed away Thursday morning, May 3, in Boyd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Sept. 28, 1922, in Waynesburg, Ky., a daughter of the late Coy S. and Sarah Slone Phillips. Mrs. Everman was a housewife and member of Blaine Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by three sisters, Pauline (Leonard) Wheeler of Ashland, Ky., Christine Boggs of Grayson and Norma (James) Wiler, also of Ashland; two brothers, Charles (Mary) Phillips of Pataskala, Ohio, and Lester (Doris) Phillips of Columbus, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Fred Wells and J.T. Everman; two brothers, Carl and Conley Phillips; and a sister, Betty Rose Phillips. Funeral services for Mrs. Everman will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. She will be laid to rest in East Carter County Memory Gardens. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today, May 4, at the funeral home.
