Kentucky GenWeb projectMr. George Robert Ratcliff The Ashland Daily Independent George Robert Ratcliff 84, Jeriel, retired farmer, died Monday in an Ashland Hospital. He was born Aug 16,1882 in Elliot County a son of the late Jim and Elizabeth Bush Ratcliff. Surviving are five daughters Evelyn Donely and Earlene Blevins of Ironton Ohio, Lucille Vaughn of Ashland, Gertrude Ratcliff of Jeriel and Joyce McCoy of Denton Ky; two sons Tom and Clifford of Jeriel ; two sisters Martha Thornberry of Jeriel and Belle Thornberry of Olive Hill; a brother Reuben Ratclif of Jeriel; 20 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren. Services were conducted at 2pm Thursday at Satterly-Phillips Funeral Home by Rev. Andrew Kiser. Burial will be in Lawrence County.
