Ashland Daily Independent 1/27/07 Gene Rhoden - 1970-2007 Gene Franklin Rhoden, 36, of Lloyd, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, at his home. Mr. Rhoden was born Nov. 20, 1970, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of Betty Kiser Rhoden Fairchild of Grayson, Ky., and the late Frank Rhoden. He was a landscaper and enjoyed his work. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his wife, Kathy Boggs Rhoden; two sons, Gene Wyatt Rhoden and Gage Franklin Rhoden; two stepsons, Michael Hurst and Corey Hurst; two brothers, Anthony (Melissa) Rhoden and David Rhoden, both of Grayson, Ky.; a sister, Melissa (Chris) Mahaney of Grayson; his stepfather, Curt Fairchild of Grayson; and seven nieces and nephews: Wesley Rhoden, Hannah Rhoden, Amanda Rhoden, Jake Rhoden, Brooklynn Rhoden, Gabe Mahaney and Franklin Mahaney. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Ky., by Larry Barrell, minister. Burial will be in Rhoden Cemetery in Garrison, Ky. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and until services Sunday at the funeral home. He was loved by all and will be missed.
