Ashland Daily Independent - (2/13/07 Olga Rice Allen - 1912-2007 Olga Rice Allen, 94, of Willard, Ky., passed away Sunday, Feb. 11. She was born May 2, 1912, in Floyd County, Ky., daughter of Elder Samuel G. and Sally Sturgill Rice. She was a housewife, a seamstress and a member of the Farm Bureau. She was very active in Carter County Homemakers, a member of the New Life United Baptist Church in Banner, Ky., and the widow of Howard Allen. She is survived by her sister, Sina Blanton of Prestonsburg, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home in Martin with Elder Albert King and other ministers officiating. She will be laid to rest in Allen Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Hall Funeral Home.
