Kentucky GenWeb projectGrace Zornes 1901-2000 Grace Mae Riley Zornes, 98, died Saturday in Carter Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Grayson. Mrs. Zornes was born Nov. 13, 1901, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Jack Riley and Vada Dyer Butler. Her husbands, Jim Dean and Cecil Zornes; a son, Savel Zornes; and a daughter, Dorothy Bear, also preceded her in death. Surviving are four daughters, Sready Bryant Binion of Olive Hill, Marjorie Christianson of Reno, Nev., Katherine Gilbert of Ashland and Mary Singleton of Mansfield, Ohio; two sons, Donnie Ratcliff of Mansfield and Elmo Zornes of Olive Hill; a stepson, Curt Zornes of Olive Hill; a half sister, Stella Logan of Grayson; 41 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; 46 great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Carter County Funeral Home in Olive Hill by Arlie Reynolds and Raymond Allen Barker. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Lewis County. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
