Lucy Rupert Bowling        
1909 - 2004 

Lucy Rupert Bowling of Lexington, KY, formally of Grayson and Charleston, WV, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 13. 

Lucy was born August 7, 1909, in Grayson. A daughter of the late Edward and Kennie Seaton Rupert. She was a former teller for the First National Bank, 
a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Charleston, and Centenary United Methodist Church. 


Lucy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ernest H. (Toad) Bowling. 

Her survivors include: Son and Daughter in law – Col. Ernest Rupert and Jennie G. Bowling of Charleston, WV. Daughters and sons in laws – 
Kennie B. and John E. Winter of Los Altos, CA; Cindy B. and Judge Thomas L. Clark of Lexington KY. Brother – James R. Rupert of Lexington KY.  
Eight Grandchildren and six great grandchildren 


Services will be held at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson, KY, of Thursday, November 18, at 1:30 p.m., by the Reverend J. Montgomery Brown. 
Burial will be in the Grayson Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday prior to the services.
