Martin Elsworth Seitz MANSFIELD -- Martin Elsworth Seitz, 78, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005, at home. He was born Sept. 6, 1926, in Olive Hill, Ky., to Charles William and Josephine Dean Seitz. A veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II, Martin had worked for 30 years and retired from Stone Container where he was a tow motor operator. He was an avid race car fan and an outdoors man who loved camping and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Deana Moore Seitz; two sons, Martin William Seitz, who lives at home, and Mike Bloomfield of Kentucky; four daughters, Donna (Charles) Campbell of Vanceburg, Ky., Susie (John) Parker of Bellville, Connie (Grant) Taylor of Mansfield, and Betty Seitz, who lives at home; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tracy (Martha) Seitz of Newark and William (Carolyn) Seitz of Glendale, Ariz.; sister, Nada (James) Toth of St. Cloud, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Josephine Seitz; one brother and seven sisters. Friends may be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005 at Werner Funeral Services, 175 W. Third St., Mansfield. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at Wyandotte Freewill Baptist Church, 1164 Wyandotte Ave., Mansfield, conducted by Pastor Brian Phillips. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Lucas, with full military honors performed by Richland County Joint Veterans Council. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Werner Funeral Services.
